About Us We offer 18,000 square feet of climbing surface, a full-sized indoor high and low ropes course, and have sophisticated team creation seminars through SHARED ADVENTURES. Since 1995, we have offered team creation and recreation to groups throughout the East Coast, including the University of Virginia in the summer of 2005 at a retreat in the Shenandoah Mountains. About the Owners
Kobe Winchester is twelve years old (born April 27, 1996) and is an awesome golden retriever and greeter. Kent Winchester attended the Universities of Hawaii and Oregon, earning his undergraduate degree in Political Science. Following a Peace Corps stint in West Africa, Kent completed a Masters degree in Education from Gallaudet University. He then went on to work at the Rochester Institute of Technology, specializing in career counseling, teambuilding, and multicultural education. Kent founded the RIT Red Barn Leadership Training Program and was a mentor to more than 25 world-wide Outward Bound Interns. After teaching students and staff “how to take risks,” he realized he needed to follow that advice and a long-time dream. Leaving his tenured, senior professor position, Kent opened RockVentures in 1995. He has hosted the American Mountain Guide Association, Fortune 500 Companies, and others over the past ten years. Kent is a certified OutComm(tm) Facilitator, which uses a visual mapping system to assist groups to achieve consensus on Mission and Vision Statements, and other Strategic Objectives. Our Partners
